ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The house is constructed of 20 inch thick stone walls. Inside the house the walls have been either pointed to emphasize the natural beauty of the stone or rendered. The bathrooms and kitchen walls are tiled where appropriate. The entire downstairs floor is tiled ensuring that the house is cool in the summer. The French windows and doors and indeed all the windows are double glazed giving good insulation in all weathers. There is partial wood fired central heating. The hot water is, however, heated by electricity. The roof is insulated. The upstairs areas have been renovated sympathetically to retain the character of the building particularly with regard to the roof timbers.
